Price Tag VS. Look

Due to the current economic recession, popular retail stores are providing their customers with trendy fashionable pieces for a reasonable price. Just to name two popular stores, Forever 21 and H&M are both looking more expensive and fashionable. Personally, I've been a loyal customer for Forever 21 for about 4 years and each after a trip to the store, my love grows stronger. I took a trip about 3 days ago and I was impressed. I spotted a Jacket that looked Chanel inspired to a Luxurious pink Satin blouse with lace. Although entering one of these stores can be overwhelming and frustrating, you cannot resist standing on line just to purchase the low priced fashionable finds.

Lets talk about price! Do prices really count if your getting the same look? Looking at the perspective of an Fashion Institute of Technology student, it could be tempting to buy the latest Gucci,Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Prada. BUT let's face it, everyone cannot afford it! Therefore, if your running on a budget you can still feel and look expensive shopping at these affordable retail stores. Here are some pictures below that you could prove that you can have the expensive look for a cheaper price.

The Look For Less:

On the left is a Rachel Roy Faux Fur Vest, (149.00) and on the right shows an H&M Faux Fur Vest, (59.95). Personally, I think that the H&M vest looks more like it could be an expensive piece in your wardrobe.Since the vest is so dramatic, it would look good over simple colored shirts or dresses.



I understand why Rachel Zoe is obsessed with fur vest! She wears it well! As I said before, it looks well when you wear it with a simple colored top (It makes the vest stand out).

3) "A girl should be two things : Classy and Fabulous"- CoCo Chanel. We all admire her tweed jackets, with fridges and contrasting trims. This lovely Chanel pink fringed tweed jacket was apart of the Resort 2010 runway show (below). The prices for Chanel Jackets goes up to almost 4,000.00. Who says we can't pull off the look?

I actually fell in love with this Forever 21 jacket and I plan to definitely purchase it soon!
